What is Hodgkin's Disease?
Hodgkin's disease is a type of lymphoma. Lymphomas are cancers that develop in the lymph system, part of the body's immune system.
Causes
Hodgekins may be related to benzene or radiation. If you have worked for oil companies or chemical companies, your exposure may be related to benzene fumes. Benzene is a chemical used often in the production of plastics and other chemical products. It has a sweet smell and workers in petroleum industries, such as on tankers, often are heavily exposed to it.
Victims of benzene poisoning and their families may be entitled to compensation for pain and suffering and to help get the best treatment.
